From 21st to 23rd April 2026, the DMEA – a trade show for digital health attracted over 20,000 trade visitors from over 30 countries to Berlin. For MEYTEC GmbH, exhibiting at DMEA 2026 was an important step forward in digital acute and emergency care. The company presented its new MEYCHECK solution for the first time in collaboration with the Finnish eHealth specialist – JST Healthcare Solutions. MEYCHECK is a hybrid telemedicine system for structured patient management following a digital initial assessment at a telemedicine terminal. Also the medical professionals can be consulted directly if required.
A new dimension in digital healthcare
The telemedicine terminal is characterised by one key feature: innovative hybrid care, which sets new standards and opens up a wide range of possibilities in the daily care.
MEYCHECK combines certified symptom-checking software and direct connection with a doctor via telemedicine at the point of care in the final decision-making process. If the multilingual symptom check cannot provide a clear result or if the system recommends direct contact with a doctor, an audio-visual connection can be established with a specialist. This creates a seamless digital care process – from the structured initial assessment to the medical decision made directly on site.
This concept brings together state-of-the-art technology and medical expertise in real time. This enables improved patient care and more efficient use of resources within the healthcare system. It is primarily intended to meet the fundamental requirements of the planned emergency care reform and future integrated emergency centres.

Significant boost for further development
The response to DMEA 2026 was consistently positive, reflecting the significant interest of participants. Discussions with representatives from hospitals, healthcare facilities, policymakers and technology partners emphasised the urgent need for scalable patient management solutions and the necessity of alleviating the pressure on existing care structures. There was particular interest in the ability to obtain a comprehensive clinical overview and the direct integration of specialist telemedical expertise.
A significant boost to strategic development was provided this year. In the coming period, the focus will be on continuously expanding and gradually integrating telemedicine application scenarios into standard care. The overarching aim is to improve patient management and provide faster access to medical care through digital processes and telemedicine expertise.
MEYTEC is looking forward to receiving feedback on MEYCHECK and to your willingness to test it as part of a pilot project, in order to gain valuable insights from its use in real-world scenarios.
